A short introduction...

A short introduction; I am Hanneke, born in the Netherlands. After traveling through the Southern parts of Italy and Spain, I now live in the white village of Arcos de la Frontera, a village situaded on a cliff with beautiful views, in the valley of Cadiz.

What I like most of this region; Spain is still really Spain here. You drive through rolling fields of grain, olive trees and sunflowers. Along the way you will encounter white villages where you can have delicious tapas with the best local wines. Besides the beautiful surroundings, I really enjoy having a Spanish breakfast (bread roll with a salsa of tomatoes and Spanish ham) at one of the coffee bars around the corner of the apartments. You can have lunch or dinner in one of the restaurants, all at walking distance, where you can order all of their delicious dishes to share.

I am curious what your experience will be and am happy to give you tips or advice, if needed.

A quick orientation...Arcos is situated between de beautiful cities of Sevilla and Cadiz in a rolling green valley. Driving from Arcos to the east you are within half an hour in the mountains of the natural reserve of Sierra de Grazalema with beautiful views, white villages and from where you can make great hikes.Going west you will be within half an hour in Jerez de la Frontera. This city is known for its beautiful sherry bodegas, Andalusian horse shows and the famous Spanish dance the Flamenco.
